Pulumi
Define cloud infrastructure using familiar languages like Python, JavaScript, or Go. Automate deployments with a single workflow across AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes.
Pulumi is an open-source alternative to:

Pulumi is an open-source infrastructure as code (IaC) tool that allows you to define and manage cloud infrastructure using real programming languages. Instead of relying on domain-specific languages (DSLs) or YAML, Pulumi lets you use familiar languages like Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, .NET, Java, and more to provision and manage cloud resources.
Key Features
- Multi-language support: Write infrastructure code in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, .NET, Java, and more.
- Cross-cloud compatibility: Deploy to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and 100+ cloud providers.
- Real programming languages: Use loops, conditionals, functions, and classes to define infrastructure.
- State management: Built-in state management with support for remote backends like AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Pulumi Cloud.
- Pulumi Cloud: Hosted platform for managing deployments, secrets, and team collaboration.
- Pulumi AI: AI-powered assistance for generating infrastructure code and optimizing configurations.
- Pulumi ESC: Environment, Secrets, and Configuration management for secure deployments.
- Pulumi Automation API: Programmatically manage infrastructure from your applications.
Tech / Self-Hosting
Pulumi is open-source and can be self-hosted. The core Pulumi CLI and SDKs are available under the Apache 2.0 license. Pulumi Cloud offers a managed service for teams, but you can also host your own Pulumi service using the open-source Pulumi Operator or deploy it on Kubernetes. The platform is designed to be cloud-agnostic and works with any cloud provider or on-premises infrastructure.
